Buleleng, 2 March 2024 - The prestigious Jegeg Bagus Buleleng 2024 event opened with a bang as the participants showed off their charm and cultural knowledge in the Preliminary Competition of the Jegeg Bagus Buleleng 2024 Election with the theme "Aryaduta Padma Gandiva".
The event, held at the Gde Manik Singaraja Arts Building on Saturday (2/3) afternoon, featured 10 pairs of finalists who had previously gone through several competency stages such as Pre-Finals, Deep Interviews which will eventually lead to the Grand Final stage.
They competed for the title of Jegeg Bagus Buleleng. The preliminary competition involved segments such as Fashion Show including Ratu Bali Boutique x KCKB Buleleng fashion show, Modern Balinese fashion show, Evening Dress fashion show, Invitation Parade, Finalist Parade as well as the awarding of the Best Promotional Video, Most Favourite Promotional Video and Best Appearance.
The judges were faced with the task of assessing the participants based on overall appearance and presentation. The competition emphasised not only on grace and beauty, but also knowledge of Buleleng's rich cultural heritage. The fashion show performances mesmerised the audience and the judges. The energy and passion that radiated during this segment left a deep impression on all present.
The Favourite Promotional Video category was won by Jegeg Bagus pair number 5. The Best Promotional Video category was won by Jegeg Bagus pair number 8. The Best Scientific Presentation category was won by Jegegeg number 3 and Bagus number 7. Meanwhile, the Best Performance category was won by Jegegeg number 5 and Bagus number 4.
As the preliminary competition came to an end, the anticipation for the Grand Final increased. The finalists eagerly awaited the crowning moment that would mark the end of their journey in this prestigious competition.
