Buleleng - Located in the meeting room of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office (Dispar) on Thursday (28/11), a meeting was held for the submission of an intermediate report in the context of preparing an academic paper for the draft regional regulation (Raperda) on the master plan for tourism development in Buleleng Regency for 2025-2030.

The meeting was attended by the Head of Buleleng Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, along with his staff and other related parties. In his remarks, the Head of Tourism expressed the importance of careful planning in the development of the tourism sector, given the contribution of this sector as one of the largest contributors to Regional Original Revenue (PAD).

“The tourism sector is the highest contributor to PAD, especially from hotel, restaurant and entertainment taxes or tourist attractions. This has a positive impact on increasing investment into Buleleng Regency,” he said.

He also emphasized that tourism development must be in line with development plans at the national, provincial and district levels. In its preparation, this tourism development master plan will refer to three main aspects, namely:

  1. The general condition of Buleleng Regency, including the potential of the region and the available infrastructure.
  2. The tourism condition of Buleleng Regency, which includes tourist attractions, supporting facilities, and destination management.
  3. The condition of the tourism market in Buleleng Regency, by considering the trend of domestic and foreign tourists.

The preparation of this plan is expected to become a strategic foundation for improving the competitiveness of tourism in Buleleng Regency, as well as making this sector the main driver of the regional economy.

With strategic steps based on research and accurate data, Buleleng Regency is expected to be able to face challenges and opportunities in developing sustainable tourism in the future.
