Buleleng, June 9, 2024 - The Head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos., M.Si. accompanied by the Head of Tourism Marketing, Agus Widya Suputra, SE, M.A.P attended the Architecture and Tourism event held at Pasar Intaran, Bengkala Village, Buleleng.

The event aimed to promote the architectural wealth and tourism potential in the Buleleng region. In his speech, the Head of Tourism emphasized the importance of synergy between local architecture and the tourism industry to increase regional attractiveness and make a positive contribution to the local economy.

The event was moderated by Putu Ardana, with keynote speaker, Popo Danes, a senior architect in Bali. Popo Danes emphasized the importance of designing tourism buildings and infrastructure in harmony with local culture and environment. He also presented several examples of architectural designs that have been successfully implemented.

The lively event was attended by various groups, including local communities, tourism industry players, and academics. They actively participated in discussions and workshops held during the event. In addition, visitors were also able to enjoy an exhibition of local products on display at Pasar Intaran. On this occasion, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Office, Sukasada Sub-District Head, representatives from the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Buleleng, and various other invitees were also present. This event became a venue for in-depth discussions on the integration between architecture and tourism development in Buleleng.

With this event, it is expected to further strengthen Buleleng's position as one of the leading tourist destinations in Bali and increase awareness of the importance of preserving traditional architecture in supporting sustainable tourism. In addition, it can provide inspiration and new insights for tourism industry players in Buleleng, and encourage collaboration between various parties to create quality and highly competitive tourist destinations.
