Denpasar, November 4, 2024 – In order to strengthen the management of Bali tourism data through the National Tourism Information System (SISPARNAS), the Bali Provincial Tourism Office held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) today at the Ibis Style Hotel Denpasar. This FGD aims to ensure the validity and completeness of the data that has been inputted by the SISPARNAS surveyor and administrator team from all regencies/cities in Bali.
This activity was attended by representatives from the Heads of Regency/City Tourism Offices throughout Bali and was opened directly by the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Tjok Bagus Pemayun. The Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, for example, was represented by the Head of Tourism Marketing, Agus Widya Suputra as the administrator for Buleleng Regency.
On this occasion, the Head of the Bali Provincial Surveyor reported that the Buleleng Regency surveyor and administrator team had carried out the collection and input of data for 2023/2024 well. The primary data collected includes 24 Tourist Attractions (DTW), 27 Accommodations, 23 Restaurants, 19 Creative Economy (Ekraf), and 7 Tour and Travel. The secondary data includes data on tourist visits, number of hotels, number of rooms, number of beds, number of restaurants, Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB), number of workers, security, disasters, health, accessibility, number of Ekraf, events and activities, and related regulations/policies.
This data is expected to be part of the National Tourism One Data and support the assessment of the National Tourism Development Index (IPKN). Furthermore, this data will be a reference in policy making by the central and regional governments for sustainable tourism development.
In his direction, the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office said that in the future SISPARNAS will be fully handed over to the district/city so that they can update data periodically, so that this platform continues to be relevant to actual conditions in the field.
This FGD activity was closed with the delivery of important notes that had been mutually agreed upon and continued with the signing of the Examination Report (BAP) by all district/city administrators throughout Bali.
