Buleleng, May 14, 2024 - The Buleleng Regency Tourism Office held a Videography Workshop in 2024 which took place from May 14 to 16, 2024. The event was held in the Meeting Room of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office and was attended by the Secretary of the Tourism Office and the Head of Tourism Resources. The workshop was aimed at the younger generation of Buleleng who have an interest in videography, with the aim of improving their ability to create video content for tourism promotion.
The workshop is designed to provide basic knowledge of videography and effective video shooting techniques to promote tourism in Buleleng. Over the course of three days, participants will receive training hours divided into several sessions with a duration of 45 minutes per training hour. The methods used in this workshop include material delivery (50%), discussion and group work (16.67%), and hands-on practice (33.33%).
This workshop presented two speakers who are experienced in their fields, Mr. Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos., M.Si. As the Head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, Gede Yudiastra, a Videography Practitioner from Buleleng Time.
On the first day of the workshop, Secretary of the Tourism Office Putu Oka Sastra, SP, MMA opened the event with remarks that emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation in advancing the tourism sector through creative media. “We hope that through this workshop, the participants can master the basics of videography and be able to create interesting video content to promote the beauty and tourism potential of Buleleng,” he said.
Head of Tourism Resources Kadek Mila Pradnyani, SS, MAP also added that good videography skills would be a valuable asset for tourism promotion in the digital era. “With social media and video sharing platforms, creative and interesting content will be very effective in attracting tourists,” she said.
Workshop participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the various sessions organized, ranging from basic videography theory to video shooting practices in various interesting locations in Buleleng. Group discussions and teamwork also provided opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and improve their skills.
With this 2024 Videography Workshop, it is hoped that participants can apply the knowledge and skills they have gained to develop innovative and engaging tourism promotion content, bringing Buleleng to a wider and more recognized tourism stage.
