Second Day Of Tourism Saka Council Inauguration And World Environment Day Commemoration In Buleleng Regency

Buleleng, June 5, 2024 - Buleleng Regency celebrated the second day of the inauguration of the Tourism Saka Council while commemorating World Environment Day. The event was organized by the Tourism Office and the Environment Office of Buleleng Regency together with the Tourism Saka Council and the Kalpataru Saka Council. Several activities were conducted as part of this commemoration, which aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote sustainable tourism.

The series of activities began with a joint rally led by the Head of the Buleleng Environmental Agency, Gede Melandrat, SP. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of synergy between environmental conservation and sustainable tourism development. After the rally, the participants continued with tree planting as a symbol of commitment to greening and nature conservation.

The next activity was the release of 50 titiran birds, which is an effort to maintain the balance of the local ecosystem. The participants then carried out fish restocking in Lake Buyan, which is expected to increase the fish population and support a healthy lake ecosystem.

The highlight of the event was trekking and cleaning up the Singaraja-Denpasar route. Starting from the 5-6 Amertasari Shortcut Bridge to the Buyan Lake area, participants cleaned up the trekking path as part of the real action to keep the environment clean. This activity not only aims to clean up trash, but also to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting the surrounding environment.

Head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos., M.Si stated that this activity is a real step in integrating tourism and environmental conservation. “We hope this activity can inspire people to care more about the environment while promoting sustainable Buleleng tourism,” he said.

With the various activities that have been carried out, it is hoped that the people of Buleleng will become more aware of the importance of protecting the environment and supporting environmentally friendly tourism. This activity also shows the commitment of the Tourism Office and the Environment Office of Buleleng Regency in creating harmony between humans and nature.
