Sanur, October 16, 2024 - Sanur Village Festival (Sanfest) 2024 was officially opened at Mertasari Beach, Sanur, by the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, known as Bintang Puspayoga. The annual festival returned with a variety of mesmerizing cultural performances, such as the Segara Strait Dance and Mass Pendet Dance, which opened the event.
Representatives from the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office were also present at this event, represented by the Head of Tourism Marketing, Agus Widya Suputra and First Expert Adyatama and staff. Sanfest 2024 this time carries the theme “Asta Brateswarya”, which reflects eight leadership traits.
Chairman of the Sanfest 2024 Committee, Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, explained that this concept is based on leadership teachings that include wisdom, compassion, and integrity, which are considered relevant in facing current and future challenges.
Sanur Village Festival is an annual event that aims to promote tourism in Sanur and Denpasar as a whole. After going through various challenges, such as the Bali bombing tragedy and the Covid-19 pandemic, Sanur is now back on its feet and back in the limelight of Bali tourism. The festival, which has become an important part of Sanur's tourism revitalization, emphasizes the diversity of local culture and art.
Chairman of the Sanur Development Foundation (YPS), Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, emphasized that this year's Sanfest focuses more on empowering MSMEs, the creative economy, artists and communities. He emphasized that innovation and creativity in the tourism sector relies heavily on the role of MSMEs, which support the local economy.
In his speech, Bintang Puspayoga expressed his appreciation to YPS and all parties involved in organizing Sanfest. He stated that the festival is not just a cultural and tourism event, but also a symbol of the synergy of the Sanur community, known as “the sunrise shines from Sanur Beach.”
Sanfest 2024 will take place for five days, starting from October 16 to 20, 2024, featuring various MSMEs, art performances, culture, and various other activities that are ready to entertain visitors and enrich the tourist experience in Sanur.
