Buleleng, July 29, 2024. Lovina as one of the tourist destinations in North Bali has different characteristics and uniqueness from other areas. The cultural and natural potential of Lovina which is increasingly popular among local and foreign tourists must continue to be improved and introduced to attract more visits.
The effort made by the Buleleng Regency Government through the Buleleng Tourism Office is to hold the annual Lovina Festival 2024 with the theme "Segara Ayu" which means "Beautiful Sea". This theme is based on the aim of being able to highlight the beauty of the North Bali sea, precisely in the Lovina beach area, Buleleng. This is in line with the expression of the Head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos., M.Si. "With the collaboration of various parties, it is hoped that this event can be a place to introduce local culture to a wider level, as well as entertainment for the community."
This year's Lovina Festival will be held for three days from August 23 to August 25, 2024. The series of activities in it include cultural performances, music and art performances, exhibitions, culinary, parades, and activities. These include sampi gerumbungan, megangsing, selodor competitions, dance performances, wayang wong, and gong kebyar which are part of Buleleng's distinctive culture. Lovina Festival 2024 is held on two different stages, namely at Binaria, Kalibukbuk which is devoted to cultural performances, and at Tasik Madu to display a variety of modern art performances. Meanwhile, along the connecting area between the cultural stage and the mixed stage, there will be a traditional market containing various culinary specialties of Buleleng, and also enlivened by mass Pendet dance performances in the hope of increasing excitement and strengthening local community relations.
