Buleleng, November 15, 2024 - The Buleleng Regency Government, through the Buleleng Tourism Office, warmly welcomed a mock study visit from the Acting Regent of Jombang and the ranks of the Jombang Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) in Pegayaman Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng, Bali. This visit aims to establish close cooperation between Buleleng Regency and Jombang Regency, and strengthen relations between the two regions.
The presence of Forkopimda Jombang in Pegayaman Village was welcomed enthusiastically by the local community and village officials. This visit was used to discuss the history, culture, and diversity that characterize Pegayaman Village. The village is known for its strong tolerance and pluralism, making it a unique example of harmony amidst cultural and religious differences.
During the discussion, village officials provided Pj Bupati Jombang and his entourage with an in-depth understanding of the close-knit diversity between the Muslim and Hindu communities in Pegayaman Village. The visit is expected to pave the way for cooperation in various sectors between Buleleng and Jombang, including tourism, culture and education.
After the agenda in Pegayaman Village, the Forkopimda Jombang group continued their visit to the Banyuwana Amertha Waterfall tourist destination which is also located in Sukasada District. This natural tourist spot was chosen as one of the destinations in the mock study to introduce the natural beauty of Buleleng and the local government's efforts in managing regional tourism potential.
The visit of Pj Regent Jombang and Forkopimda Jombang is expected to be the first step in strengthening synergy between regions, as well as strengthening joint commitment in improving the quality of public services, developing local potential, and promoting tourism that benefits both districts.
