Buleleng - (November 29, 2024) Located in the meeting room of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office, the final report of the academic study on the promotion of culture in Buleleng Regency was submitted.
Cultural promotion studies in Buleleng Regency, Bali, often focus on the preservation and development of local cultural heritage, including traditional arts, traditional ceremonies, and community customs. Buleleng, as one of the regions rich in Balinese traditions, has great potential in developing the cultural sector through various programs.
“Bali as a culture-based tourism object certainly needs to be mapped and studied so that tourism in Buleleng is more directed in future development and development,” said Karispar Gede Dody Sukma Oktiva Askara, S.Sos., M.Si.
One important aspect in the study of the promotion of Buleleng culture is the empowerment of local communities to maintain traditions, while utilizing culture as an economic source, for example through cultural tourism.
Buleleng itself is rich in tradition and cultural uniqueness, one of which is in the historical sector as the center of the Buleleng kingdom and the capital of Sunda Kecil. Some of Buleleng's cultural promotion efforts involve art training, cultural festivals, and the construction of facilities that support cultural preservation, such as art centers and galleries.
The main data of 10 cultural objects include cultural heritage, oral tradition, manuscripts, customs, rites, traditional knowledge, traditional technology, art, language, folk games, traditional sports. In addition, the Buleleng Regency Government together with various related agencies also cooperate with academics and cultural practitioners to design a cultural promotion strategy that not only prioritizes preservation, but also adaptation to the times, so that Buleleng culture remains relevant and able to play a role in the global context.
Buleleng is also active in organizing activities such as art festivals, cultural exhibitions and cultural seminars that highlight local potential. These efforts not only educate the community, but also attract tourists to get to know and appreciate Balinese culture, especially those in Buleleng.
Through ongoing studies, it is hoped that Buleleng's culture can continue to grow and benefit the community in terms of economic, social and educational aspects.
