Sawan, Buleleng - Saturday, November 9, 2024, Adyatama of Tourism Marketing attended the release of sea turtle hatchlings held at the Turtle Ranger Conservation Center Tukik House, Kerobokan Beach, Sawan District. This activity coincides with the commemoration of Valentines Day or Tumpek Krulut, which is a special day in the traditional Balinese calendar to show love and affection for fellow living beings.
The hatchling release event was organized by Sahabat Mangroveranger Indonesia through the Turtle Ranger Conservation Center Division, as a conservation effort to restore the sea turtle population in Bali. In his speech, the head of the organizing committee expressed great hope that the release of hatchlings can contribute to the preservation of a balanced and maintained marine ecosystem, especially in maintaining the increasingly threatened sea turtle population.
The activity was also attended by various parties, including representatives from the Bali KSDA Center, Head of the Bali Provincial Forestry and Environment Office, representatives of the Buleleng Regency Environment Office, Sawan Sub-District Head, Sawan Police Chief, Danramil 1609-09 Sawan, as well as representatives from several other agencies and communities such as PT Pelindo Celukan Bawang Port Branch, PLN IP UPB Bali, Blazer Dewata, Blazer Bali Family, D2D Custum, Pukis & Bikang, Yos Dive Lembeh, Jati Luwih 259, Pokmaswas Umeanyar Village, and Green Youth. The support from these various parties shows a shared commitment to protecting and preserving Bali's natural resources.
The release of hatchlings into the open sea is part of the education and conservation program, as well as a symbol of love for nature and other living things. This activity is expected to increase public awareness to help preserve the marine environment and protect endangered species, such as sea turtles, which are an important part of the ecosystem.
