The Pengerupukan Festival is a major cultural celebration in Bali, particularly in Buleleng, held the day before Nyepi Day. It features a parade of giant ogoh-ogoh (carved figures) as part of a ritual exorcise evil spirits (bhuta kala) and welcome the Saka New Year with spiritual purity. This festival is not just parade, but also a creative platform for young people (yowana) to preserve Balinese art through the creation of unique ogoh-ogoh, paraded to the accompaniment of traditional gamelan music.
