Dendi local handicraft is a handicraft business made from bamboo which is located at Br. Dinas Dajan Pura, Sidetapa Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. Dendi is the name of the owner who is a man born from a Sidetapa village who loves the village of his birthplace and the potential of the village he has. By raising the name Dendi Local Handicraft, which means local crafts, Dendi introduces that this woven bamboo product is made by hand/Original hand-weaving with a manufacturing process through talent, patience, perseverance, thoroughness, and his preference for a product that he produces. These handicraft products are done by local craftsmen in Sidetapa village, both from children to the elderly. The products produced by Dendi Local Handicraft are local woven bamboo products to meet local markets such as steamed crafts, chicken cages, baskets, kebens, and others. Then these creative woven bamboo products that meet global markets such as: hanging lamp decorations, wall decorations, parcels & souvenirs, various other innovative and custom products. With the establishment of Dendi Local Handicraft, we hopeto be able to participate in helping the bamboo craftsman industry sector in our area in terms of marketing and developing creative ideas for modern product innovation so that the existence of this craft product remains sustainable. For us, weaving bamboo is an identity and identity to continue the ancestral heritage that we must continue to preserve. Not only in terms of producing bamboo handicrafts, but we are trying to keep the bamboo plants on our village land as raw materials for weaving and maintaining the natural ecosystem in terms of storing water for our survival.
