Motley was founded in 2019 by I Made Andika Putra. The concept of the name
Pagi Motley is taken from two words, namely Pagi in Indonesian which means the beginning of a new day/spirit, and Motley in English which means various colors. So Pagi Motley means the beginning of a new enthusiasm to produce beautiful colors. Starting from the awareness to the Sembiran Village, which has a lot of potential in the weaving, has been abandoned by its younger generation. Most of the younger generation who have completed their education leave the village to look for work in the city. So that Sembiran Village now rarely has a young generation who continues in the weaving. |
