Bengkala Village is known as "Kolok Village" or "Bisu Village," because most of its residents have been hearing impaired since birth. Despite having limited verbal communication, the people in this village have developed their own sign language called "Kata Kolok." This sign language has become an important means of daily communication among village residents.
Apart from its unique cultural aspects, Bengkala Village also offers the natural beauty of Bali with lush green rice fields, trees and a calm rural atmosphere. This village provides an opportunity for visitors to understand the life of a community that has special characteristics in terms of communication and culture.
Bengkala Village also has an Inclusion School for Disabled Children which is located in the same place as the State School. So that there will be normal harmony with people with disabilities.
